Good Morning Everyone,
Thank you for your time this morning. For those not on the call, we had unanimous support from our member clubs to cancel all NSSL league games for this weekend, December 18th and 19th.
We understand soccer provides positive social interactions for all involved, however the safety of players, coaches and officials remain our primary focus. We are also very fortunate to have two seasons of play with the winter being secondary.
We do not want to put anyone in a scenario where they cannot enjoy the holiday season with their family because they are required to isolate because of a COVID case at a soccer game. We will take this time to do our part in reducing the transmission of COVID in the province which will hopefully allow us to start back up at the scheduled start date in January.
Soccer Nova Scotia fully support this decision and we truly appreciate everyone’s support in this matter.
